Testimonials

Babbie

Great pub, friendly staff, guest ales and a very good lunch/evening menu at affordable prices.
Nothing too much trouble, and the locals are very welcoming. We use it often for social drinking with friends.

Caroline

Nigel

Lovely staff....from the moment we arrived to drinks in the bar later. Great bedroom....looked like a recent refurbish and very nicely done. Beautiful setting in the prettiest little village and great value all round. We will definitely return.

Kevin

Lovely hidden gem.
Off the beaten track from Welshpool, we turned up on an international rugby day and were made to feel like locals. We just went with the flow and everyone made us feel welcome: the evening meal was good, and the room (1) was fresh, airy, warm and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good, and staff were easy to talk to without being intrusive. Will definitely be back.

visited the Talbot after about 3 years absence due to illness and the lockdowns, we received a wonderful warm welcome from Janet, Jackie the landlady and Jill, we very much appreciated the fact we were still remembered from the our last visit,
we enjoyed superb home cooked food and some perfectly served real ale, all excellent in term of quality and value.
the Talbot has had a lovely refurbishment it is spotlessly clean throughout, it is a genuine traditional hospitality establishment, a great asset to the local community and for visitors to the beautiful village and surrounding area, 5 star in everyway it has very professional staff and landlady ,a warm friendly atmosphere , home cooked food and fine beers , also dogs very welcome in the bar.
